Brewing+ configuration

Four settings. All of them live on your client.

The file

After the first launch with the mod installed, you will find config/brewingplus.json next to your other configs (in .minecraft/config for the default launcher). It looks like this:

{
  "enabled": true,
  "showButton": true,
  "showStandHint": true,
  "debug": false
}

Settings

KeyDefaultWhat it does
enabled true Master switch. Set it to false and the button and stand hint disappear until you flip it back.
showButton true Show the guide button on brewing stand screens. The button is added when the stand opens, so a change shows up the next time you open one.
showStandHint true While a potion is tracked, show the ghost ingredient and the next-step card at the stand. Turn it off if you only want the guide.
debug false Write recipe loading, guide clicks and filters to the game log (lines tagged [debug]). Handy when reporting a problem; leave it off otherwise.

Changing settings

You have four options, pick whichever is closest:

  1. Edit the file with the game closed, then start the game. Simple and foolproof.
  2. Edit the file and reload live with /mycel reload brewingplus in game. No restart needed. See commands.
  3. Change it live with a command, e.g. /mycel set brewingplus showStandHint false (needs operator permission; /mycel get brewingplus shows every value). No file editing needed.
  4. Use the config screen from the mod list (Forge and NeoForge). Same four settings, with reset buttons.

Broken file?

If the JSON gets mangled (bad edit, crash mid-save), the mod logs a warning and falls back to defaults rather than crashing. Delete the file and restart to get a fresh one.
