Compatibility
Where they run
| Setup | Works? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Singleplayer | Yes | Install Mycel + the mod in your local mods folder. |
| Dedicated server | Yes | Server-side only. Players do not need anything installed, vanilla clients included. |
| LAN world | Yes | The host needs the mod; guests are covered like on a server. |
| Client only, vanilla server | No | The features run on the server. The server (or singleplayer) must have the mod. |
Loaders
Every mod ships three jars: Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, all first-class and behaving identically. Do not mix jars across loaders; grab the one matching your setup from the mod's releases page.
Other mods
- InstantXP vs magnet mods generally coexist fine. Both collect orbs; whichever gets there first wins, and the result is the same XP in your pocket. Mods that cancel orb pickup stay cancelled, since InstantXP uses the standard pickup call.
- InstantXP vs orb-stacking mods pair well: fewer orb entities means less work per tick for everyone.
- AutoBlockRefiller vs inventory mods are usually fine, since refills only land in slots that are actually empty and never overwrite anything. If another mod moves items on placement (auto-restock from shulkers and the like), the two may race; whichever fills the slot first wins and the other backs off.
- Datapacks work normally with both mods. Neither mod changes XP values, levels, enchanting costs, recipes, or loot.
