Getting started
What you need
- Minecraft 26.3
- Java 25
- One of: Fabric Loader (with Fabric API), Forge, or NeoForge (see versions below)
- Mycel 1.1.0, the shared library every MyCelium mod needs
- The mod you want, for your loader (see the table)
Which jars to grab
| Mod | What it does | Docs |
|---|---|---|
| InstantXP | Picks up nearby XP orbs instantly | InstantXP docs |
| AutoBlockRefiller | Refills emptied hotbar slots while building | AutoBlockRefiller docs |
You can install one mod or both. Either way, the Mycel jar comes along too.
Loader versions
| Loader | What to install |
|---|---|
| Fabric | Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, plus Fabric API 0.160.6+26.3, plus the Fabric mod jar |
| Forge | Forge 66.0.9 or newer (26.3 line), plus the Forge mod jar |
| NeoForge | NeoForge 26.3.0.1-beta or newer, plus the NeoForge mod jar |
Install steps
- Install your loader of choice if you have not already (each loader's own installer walks you through it).
- Open your
modsfolder. In the default launcher that is.minecraft/mods; on a server it is themodsfolder next to the server jar. - Drop in the Mycel jar and the mod jar(s) for your loader. Same folder, all of them.
- Start the game. If it reaches the main menu (or the server finishes starting), you are good.
Server owners: MyCelium mods run on the server side, so installing them on the server alone covers every player, including vanilla clients. Nobody else needs to install anything. See compatibility for the details, and server setup for the full dedicated-server walkthrough.
How to tell it is working
- InstantXP: throw a bottle o' enchanting at your feet. The orbs should vanish into you almost immediately.
- AutoBlockRefiller: place the last block of a hotbar stack while carrying more in your inventory. A fresh stack should slide in a moment later.
If nothing happens, check troubleshooting.
