AutoBlockRefiller FAQ
Why did my slot not refill?
The usual suspects, in order: the slot was not actually empty two ticks after placing (you switched items or picked something up), the matching blocks are in another hotbar slot rather than the main inventory (turn on searchHotbar), or the item is not a block (only blocks refill). If none of those fit, see troubleshooting.
Why is there a short delay before the refill?
The mod checks two ticks after you click, because that is when the game has finished resolving the placement. It is a fraction of a second, and it is what keeps the mod from overwriting slots it should not touch.
Does the offhand work?
Yes. Placing a block from the offhand refills the offhand from the main inventory. The offhand is never used as a source, only as a target.
Will it steal blocks from my other hotbar slots?
Not by default. Only the main inventory is searched unless you enable searchHotbar. Armour, offhand, and crafting stock are never sources either way.
Does it work with non-block items?
No, and that is intentional. Food, tools, snowballs, ender pearls: the mod ignores all of them. Blocks only.
Do all players on a server need the mod?
No. It runs entirely on the server side, so installing it (plus Mycel) on the server covers everyone, including vanilla clients.
Can I turn it off without uninstalling?
Yes. Set enabled to false in config/autoblockrefiller.json and run /mycel reload autoblockrefiller. There is no per-player toggle; the mod is server-wide by design.
