FAQ
Does the server need the mod?
No. The server already tells your game every part of every advancement and which ones you have, so Advancements works on any server, including vanilla ones.
The advancements screen says "Nothing to see here"
That is vanilla's message for a player with no advancements to show yet, for example in a brand-new world before you have a crafting table, or on servers that turn advancements off. Get your first advancement and they appear.
Why are some advancements not in the screen?
Vanilla only shows advancements that are close to ones you already have, and hides secret ones until you get them. Advancements does not reveal anything vanilla hides.
Does it work with advancements from other mods and data packs?
Yes. Their window shows the description, your progress and the list of parts, with names taken from biomes, mobs and items where they match. The written "How to get it" explanations are for Minecraft's own advancements.
Can I track more than one advancement?
One at a time per world or server, so the overlay stays small. Turning the overlay on for another advancement moves it there.
The overlay is in the way
Move it to a corner with trackerPosition (top_left or top_right), or hide it with showTracker. It also steps aside on its own while the held item's name or an action bar message is showing.
Can I turn the sounds off?
Yes: set sounds to false.
