Colored Nether Portals features

The color menu

Sneak and right-click a portal with an empty hand. On the left, a live preview of your portal at its real size in its frame, under a day or night sky (click it to switch). On the right, the styles, your colors and the speed. Apply saves it; Reset goes back to vanilla purple.

Styles

Animated styles have three speeds. Server owners can turn them off with allowAnimated.

Colors

The 16 dye colors and 8 brighter extras, a color picker and a hex field. In gradients and pulses, + adds a color after the selected one, - removes it and Reverse flips the order.

Dyes

Right-click a portal with any dye to make it that color. It uses up one dye (not in creative); server owners can change that with consumeDye or turn it off with dyeColoring. This works for players without the mod as well, though they keep seeing purple.

Everything matches

The particles floating around a colored portal take its color, and so do the swirl over your screen while you stand in it and the loading screen while you travel.

Multiplayer

On a server with the mod, colors are saved with the world (<world>/data/colorednetherportals/portals.json) and every player with the mod sees them. On a server without it, the menu still works but colors are kept on your computer (config/colorednetherportals-local.json) and only you see them. When a portal goes out, its color is forgotten.
